The Ricketts' Family

THE RABBIT HAD BABIES!!!!!!!!!

We first noticed that Jenny had babies about 6:40 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014.  I think she had at least 4 babies, but I am not sure. You're not supposed to touch them until they are 1 week or have fur. This is Jenny's first litter, and we are very excited. The buck (dad) is Dudley. They are both Matthew Ricketts' rabbits but I (Megan) have been taking care of Jenny. When I went out for chores I went into the FR (Front Room - where the cats and rabbits and 2 chickens are kept.) I have been letting Jenny out for exercise twice a day since she was getting too fat. I looked into her pen and noticed the nest box was full of fur. The fur was wiggling and moving up and down so I ran straight in and yelled "JENNY HAD BABIES!!!!!!!!!" Mom was very surprised. Timi came out to look at them. I'm planning to them in the 4-H fair on July 14 - 17. This was written on the 5th of April. This is the version I wrote today: We first noticed that Jenny - a doe - had babies about 6:40 p.m. on Friday, April 4th, 2014. She had 4 babies. 2 are Black and Brown:

This one is all brown with a few black spots on its rump and left side.

One is Tricolor - Black, Brown, and White:

This is a few pics of them all together:

The dark brown rabbit is the mother - Jenny.

The father - buck - is Dudley, he looks just like the Tricolor. This is Jenny's first litter, so we are all excited. We have already found homes for them all!! Sorry to anyone that suddenly had the urge to ask if they could have/buy one. I am planning on showing some of them - if Matt lets me (He is mad at me right now) -  at  the 4-H fair, July 14-17. These bunnies are the cutest things ever especially when the are hopping around. They are quite tame but hardly anybody else really has played with them yet. If you have any questions about raising rabbits, ask Me, or Annette Coffey - she is really smart in the rabbit section.
